On January 17, 2022, Martin Luther King Jr. Day will be celebrated across the country in remembrance of Dr. King's birthday and legacy.
Martin Luther King Jr. is known for his contributions to the American Civil Rights Movement in the 1960s. His famous “I Have a Dream” speech, delivered in 1963, spoke to his dream of a country void of segregation and racism.
Over the years, Martin Luther King Jr. Day has evolved into a day of service meant to help empower individuals, strengthen communities, bridge barriers, address social problems, and move us closer to Dr. King's vision of a "Beloved Community."
This year, in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we’re encouraging our community to celebrate and honor his legacy through self-reflection, kindness, and by participating in the many events and discussions taking place.
