Year after year, our community’s willingness to support our most vulnerable neighbors brings a smile to our face.
We’re thrilled to share that this holiday season, Black Lives Matter Morristown (BLMM) is partnering with Family Promise of Morris County and Homeless Solutions for their second annual Adopt-A-Family holiday program.
BLMM has been a long-time supporter of our community. Last year marked BLMM’s first annual Adopt-A-Family holiday program, through which they adopted 25+ families and served over 100 more through gift donations.
In 2020, their donation of items such as skateboards, Legos, Barbies, sports equipment, remote control cars, and science and craft kits were a tremendous hit with the children across all our programs. The organization also went above and beyond our toy requests by providing household goods for parents, too. These included bath and kitchen towels, pots and pans, utensil sets, and body wash and lotion sets.
From November 15 to December 15, BLMM is again collecting funds to support families experiencing homelessness in Morris County. This year, each family will be sponsored through personal gift wishes for every family member, plus a gift card for parents. We would not be able to fulfill all of our families’ wish lists without the help of BLM Morristown!
