Outreach Programs

Goal: Increase access to community services and resources.

CONNECTING COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO RESOURCES

Offering a wide array of services, support, and compassion, including conducting face-to-face meetings, providing individuals with an essential mailing address, and linking people to vital community services. Efforts include securing county and federal program benefits for individuals and managing nearly $0.5M in in-kind donations.

Our Promise Drop-In and Resource Center (OP)

Based out of The First Baptist Church of Morristown, OP serves the needs of the chronically and transient homeless, veterans, those exiting from jails and hospitals, youth, LGBTQ+, and those who are precariously housed. The following services are provided: phone and computer access, mailing address, restrooms, warming / cooling center, information and referral, linkage to medical, mental health and dental services, case management, systems advocacy and more.

OP is open for drop-in hours on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 11AM - 3PM. Staff is available M-F via phone during normal business hours.

Coordinated Entry (CE)

CE provides resource navigation to those awaiting shelter in Morris County.

Community service partners focused on ending homelessness work together to find real solutions that will bring families and individuals closer to home with every step. We serve as one of two lead agencies for CE, and our OP Drop-In Resource Center acts as one of two access points.

Our staff works directly with those in need of shelter and housing services by linking them to available community resources.

Navigating Hope (NH)

NH is a mobile outreach unit that provides essential services across all 39 Morris County municipalities at least five days a week. Our van offers assistance through housing support, economic assistance, food security, and eviction prevention. NH is a partnership between Family Promise of Morris County and Morris County Human Services intended to fill traditional gaps in community service provision.

The van's schedule can be found here.
